Calgary, Alberta Lifestyle Newborn Session.

Having the opportunity to photograph this wee families moments together after they returned home from the hospital with their little boy Bishop was such an honour. I've know Geneva since we were kids going to school together in Canmore, AB and reconnecting as adults and getting the chance to capture these magical first moments of her as a new mother was pretty special.

One of my favourite parts about longer sessions and in home sessions in the opportunity to connect moments together, those raw moments. I know, I talk about this a lot, it's something that I am really passionate about. Honest moments. You know the ones. Gentle touches, smirks, passing moments, all things normal that make your life extra-ordinary.

Bishop came home to an excited older brother and a very loving dog as well as a auntie on hand to get the first bath looked after. Talk about all those great first moments of life, surrounded by the people who love you the most.

I'm feeling like this is a good time to share this session, while the temperatures get ready to drop, it's a good time to feel cozy and hunker down with your people. I'm hoping to get a few board games out this weekend and sip a lot of tea or hot chocolate with my crew.

Focusing on staying warm and maybe capturing their competitive card games selves... stay tuned.

In the mean time, enjoy these photographs. I'm so happy to finally have a moment to share them with you.
